Govt saved Indian economy: PM Modi

NEW DELHI: India Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the central government has ‘saved’ the Indian economy which, he claimed, was heading towards a disaster five-six years ago.

PM Modi said his government not only stabilized the economy but also discipline it, Indian media reports have said.

Saying that India’s economy was heading towards disaster some six years back, he added that his government has not only stabilized it but also endeavored to bring discipline to it.

Speaking at a program of ‘100 years of Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India’, PM Modi said that the government is making efforts to formalize and modernize the Indian economy. (Agencies)
