JC recommends 12 names for High Court judges

KATHMANDU: The Judicial Council (JC) on Wednesday recommended 12 persons for the post of High Court judges.

A meeting of the JC held today has recommended six from among the district judges, five from practicing advocates and one joint-secretary from the Office of the Attorney General.

The recommended names from district judges include Murari Babu Shrestha, Kiran Kumar Pokharel, Dipendra Adhikari, Sudarshan Raj Pandey, Narishwore Bhandari, and Ramesh Raj Pokharel.

Likewise, advocates Raju Ram Silwal, Milan Kumar Rai, Mina Gautam Sedhai, Merina Shrestha, and Som Kanta Mainali have been recommended.

Gita Prasad Timalsina, Joint Secretary at the Office of the Attorney General, has also been recommended for the post of High Court judge.
