NRNA to provide Rs 10 million to migrant workers’ fund



KATHMANDU: The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has decided to contribute Rs 1.6 million to the Migrant Workers’ Welfare Fund (MWWF).

A meeting of the International Coordination Council of the NRNA made the decision to this effect on Sunday.

The NRNA has also expressed its commitment to provide support to the victim of foreign employment through this contribution, according to a press statement issued by NRNA.

There are an estimated four million Nepali migrant workers scattered in various labor destinations across the world.

NRNA’s newly elected President Kumar Panta presented the proposal to this end.

The meeting also decided to form various committees for the promotion of Visit Nepal 2020 and to attract foreign investment among others.
