BHOJPUR: A woman from Ward No 3 of Shadanand Municipality in the district has been killed.
The District Police Office here informed that Kalpana Rai, 28, was murdered using a sharp weapon while she was returning home after watching sports competition held at Nepalledanda of Ward No 1 in the same municipality.
Another woman Nabina Rai, 18, returning home together was also injured in the attack. Kalpana Rai received severe injuries in different parts of her body, while Nabina got an injury on her face.
The police arrested Pradip Basnet from Ward No 3 of the municipality in suspicion of his involvement in the crime this morning. Further investigation into the crime is underway, the police added.
