KATHMANDU: Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet left for the United States of America to take part in UN Climate Action Summit.

The Summit begins on September 23 at the UN Headquarters, New York.

Minister Basnet is scheduled to address two sessions – ‘Call for Action: Raising Ambition for Climate Adaptation and Resilience’; and ‘Community Resilience Partnership Program’.

The Nepali delegation will also participate in the UN special session on sustainable development goals to be held on Tuesday.
