101 dengue cases found in Pokhara



KASKI: A total of 101 dengue cases have been found in Pokhara Metropolitan City as of August 18.

Sixteen dengue patients were admitted to various hospitals in Pokhara on Monday alone, according to district public health office.

Dengue cases had been found in Pokhara Metropolitan City-8 last year, too.

Speaking at a dengue awareness program jointly organized by Ama Milan Kendra, Civil Society Network and INSEC Nepal, Indira Paudel, chairperson of Ama Milan Kendra, lashed out at the Metropolitan City for not paying heed to the m epidemic despite repeated requests.

Dengue cases which are transmitted by female mosquitoes are found in ward no 8,9 and 17 of the metropolitan city.
