Nepal Chamber of Commerce demands to annul VCTS, compulsory PAN

KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has demanded with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to annual Vehicle and Consignment Tracking System (VCTS) and compulsory PAN system.

Saying that businessmen are hit by the recent polices of the government, the umbrella organization of Nepali businessmen requested PM Oli to resolve the issues.

A team led by NCC President Rajesh Kazi Shrestha met PM Oli on Saturday and requested not to implement VCTS. He also requested not to implement the government’s policy to bring cargo vehicles under the value-added tax net.

The team also requested not to implement the compulsory PAN system saying that implementing the system is not possible owing to different reasons.

After hearing the grievances, PM Oli suggested them to run business following the established systems, adding that he will facilitate to resolve issues the private sector is facing.
