Chitwan beats Butwal by 119 runs in PPL

POKHARA: Chitwan Rhinos has registered the second consecutive win in the Pokhara Premier League (PPL) on Thursday.

Chitwan defeated Butwal Blasters by 119 runs in a match played in Pokhara cricket ground today.

The team has reached the top spot in the points table with the win with four points from two games.

Chasing down the 204-run target set by Chitwan, Butwal managed to get only 84 runs on the board losing all wickets in 18.4 overs.

For Butwal, Shibham Singh top-scored at 33 runs and Bhim Sarki made 21 runs. Hari Chauhan made 12 runs.

Chitwan’s Karan KC grabbed four wickets and Rohan Mustafa took two wickets.

Earlier invited to bat first after losing the toss, Chitwan made 203 runs on the board losing three wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Skipper Paras Khadka made 63 runs and Mustafa scored 70 runs for Chitwan.

Butwal’s Aftabuddin Ahmed took two wickets as Avinash Bohara grabbed one wicket in his kitty.
