U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem issues travel warning

WASHINGTON: The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem has warned Americans about traveling in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza.

The warning comes soon after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that the United States was ‘softening’ its stance on Israel’s Jewish settlements, international media reports have said.

The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem in a statement said it advises U.S. citizens in or considering travel to or through Jerusalem, the West Bank, or Gaza to take ‘appropriate steps’ to increase security awareness and maintain a high level of vigilance in light of the current environment. (Agencies)
