DANG: Around four thousand internet users have been recorded in Dang, a district in State 5, Nepal Telecom (NT) has said.

A total of 3,873 telecom customers have access to NT’s ADSL internet service.

While 1,451 are in Tulsipur, 1,280 users are in Ghorahi. Likewise, 107 users are in Bijauri, 64 in Beljhundi and 71 are in Hapure, according to NT, which has the capacity of providing the service to 4,170 customers in Tulsipur and 4,994 in Ghorahi.

The NT Tulsipur Office is also responsible for providing access to internet service in Rolpa, Salyan, and Pyuthan districts.

NT internet users in Salyan stand at 305 while there are 449 users in Rolpa and 156 in Pyuthan.

The 4G service launched by the NT in several towns in the district has, however, turned out to be ineffective.

Nepal Telecom, Tulsipur’s information officer Dil Bahadur KC informed that 4G service could not be effective owing to the problems in the center.

Meanwhile, NT has intensified the expansion of mobile towers in the district.

Some 12 NT towers were set up in Dang last year.

Of them, four are in operation and the rest are in the final phase for coming into operation.
