President of Tarun Dal, Nepalgunj Sandeep Jung Shah sent to jail

BANKE: President of Tarun Dal, Nepalgunj Sandeep Jung Shah, who had been arrested with a pistol few weeks ago  from Kohalpur, has been sent to jail for investigation.

District Court on Monday sent him to jail for further investigation following a bail hearing, DSP Shiva Bahadur Singh, spokesperson of District Police Office, Banke, told Khabarhub.

The other three arrested along with Shah have been released on a Rs 50,000-bail each.

The District Attorney on last Friday had filed a case at the District Court against the four including Shah seeking a five-year jail term under arms and ammunition act.

On October 31, Police had arrested four people including Shah with a pistol from Namaste Village Resort based in Janaki Rural Municipality-6, Kohalpur.

Police had found an automatic pistol beneath the seat of the car parked on the premises of the resort.
