President Bhandari visits Aung San Museum



MYANMAR: President Bidya Devi Bhandari, who is presently on the five-day state visit to Myanmar beginning from October 16, today observed the Bogyoke Aung San Museum based in Bahan, Yangon.

The two-story museum was established in 1962 in commemoration of leader Aung San, the founder of modern Myanmar.

The residence of Myanmar’s noted politician and revolutionary leader Aung San was transformed into the Museum which features his bedroom, dining room, study room and photographs. Freedom fighter Aung San is the father of Myanmar’s current State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi.

Yangon Region Minister for Social Affairs Naing Ngan Lin welcomed the President and her delegation on the occasion.
