Nepal jumps five spots in FIFA rankings



KATHMANDU: Nepal has jumped five positions to be ranked 161st in the latest FIFA rankings unveiled on Thursday

As per the previous rankings of the international football governing body, Nepal was placed in 166th position.

When compared to South Asia, Nepal has been ranked third. India (104th) and the Maldives (153rd) are ahead of Nepal in the rankings.

Likewise, Bhutan (185th), Bangladesh (187th), Sri Lanka (202nd) and Pakistan has been ranked 203rd as per the rankings.

Belgium continues to dominate FIFA rankings with the first position. Likewise, France and Brazil have been ranked second and third respectively.
