28 killed in Uttarkhand, Punjab and Himachal cloudburst



NEW DELHI: Cloudburst and floods have killed some 28 people in the Indian states of Uttarkhanda and Punjab.

Heavy rains lashed northern parts of India on Sunday leaving over two dozen people dead and 22 missing in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab, Indian media reports have said.

A flood alert has been sounded in several parts of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh as rivers, including Yamuna were in spate.

Delhi on Sunday witnessed rains with a maximum temperature of 29.7 degrees Celsius. (Agencies)
