Moderate earthquake shakes Arunachal Pradesh

Assam and other north-eastern states in India experienced a mild tremor on Friday afternoon.

According to reports, at around 2.51 pm, a mild tremor was felt in different places in Assam and other Northeastern states, Indian media reported.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 5.9 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was located in East Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh  (27.4231° N, 93.0176° E)
