National volleyball team’s coach Hann Abing arrives Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Hann Abing, a new coach of National volleyball team, has arrived in Kathmandu today. He has been appointed as volleyball coach for Nepali national volleyball team for three months. He is from Netherlands.

Jitendra Bahadur Chand, officials of the Nepal Volleyball Association including general secretary among others welcomed him.
The Dutch national will coach Nepali volleyball team who are participating in the upcoming fifth edition of the Asian Senior Men’s Central Zone Volleyball Championship scheduled for August 17-25.

Talking to media-persons He said he knew a little about Nepali volleyball history. He also expressed his confidence that he would make his stint as a coach for the Nepali volleyball team memorable by giving his 100 percent.
THE Nepal Volleyball Association hopes that Nepal would play for a better result in the central zone under the guidance of the new coach who has a 25-year-long experience in volleyball coaching. He had coached the Dutch volleyball’s team’s coach from 1997- 2004.

He was the main coach for the Germany Bundesliga Women Volleyball Team from 2004- 2008. The team clinched the title of German Cup in 2008. Similarly, he was the head coach for Germany Women U-20 National Team from 2009-2013. The team had won the World U-20 Women Championship.
He was the head coach for the Netherlands National Volleyball Team U-21 from 2014- 2015.
