Swindler lands in police net



KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Crime Division today arrested a person who has been alleged of swindling people promising high-paid jobs in Singapore.

Police arrested Prabin Poudel, 34 of Nuwakot, allegedly taking as much as Rs 60 million in total assuring people of jobs in Singapore.

Police made public Poudel at a press conference in Kathmandu today. Division Chief Senior Superintendent of Police (SP) Sahakul Kumar Thapa, said the alleged swindler has established an office in Bishalnagar from where he was doing illegal business by getting in touch with the people in a fake way.

He promised jobs in Singapore’s cruise, according to the police. Meanwhile, he has also been found to have arranged training for many people in Lucknow of India. According to police, Poudel allegedly swindled around 300 people.
