KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 32-year-old Shashidhar Khadka of Pyuthan on charge of defrauding a teenage girl of Rs 4.2 million by promising her an American visa.

A team deployed form Metropolitan Police Range Office held him from Pulchowk four days ago.

Khadka had defrauded 12th grader of Rs 4.2 million he would tie the knot with her and take her to America.

The parents of the victim had collected the aforesaid amount by keeping their land certificate in the bank as collateral.

The police had launched a manhunt since the last three months.
