Matrika Yadav demands to revive ‘Prachanda Path’

KATHMANDU: Voice has been raised to revive ‘Prachanda Path’ during the ongoing Standing Committee of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

‘Prachanda Path’ is a political doctrine formulated by the NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda while he was heading the then Maoist party.

Speaking at the Standing Committee of the party on Wednesday, member Matrika Yadav demanded to revive the doctrine arguing that a mess has been created in the party in the lack of that.

Leaders took the proposal to make ‘Prachanda Path’ the guiding principle of the party in an odd manner.

The then Maoist had recognized the doctrine as the ruling principle of the party. The party had relinquished it following a unity with CPN (Unity Center).

During the unification between the then UCPN (Maoist) and the then UML, leaders had agreed to settle the political discourse through unity convention.
