KATHMANDU: A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday demanding an order for a permanent road rationing system.

Advocates Rita Karki and Shyam Kumar Shrestha moved the apex court seeking an odd-even rationing system for public and private vehicles plying in Kathmandu Valley.

They have argued that the system was necessary as Kathmandu has turned one of the most polluted cities in the world.
