Tourism zones connected through air service



TAPLEJUNG: Religious and tourism hotspots of Nepal’s eastern region have come under connectivity with private air companies operating package flight services.

Mountain Air and Sita Air have collaborated to operate flights to Taplejung-based Pathivara Temple and Halesi, and Lukla of Khotang from Bhadrapur and Biratnagar.

With the operation of these flight services, the religious and tourist destinations in the eastern region have been well-connected.

Sita Air has started a daily direct flight service from Bhadrapur to Taplejung.

General Manager at Mountain Helicopter Pvt Ltd, Dil Bahadur Oli, informed that they have developed air packages to destinations for Pathivara and Halesi.

The two-way airfare for Pathivara from Bhadrapur and Biratnagar is Rs 23,000, Oli informed.

Sita Air is operating flight service from both Biratnagar and Bhadrapur to Suketar Airport on a daily basis while Mountain Air helicopters provide round-trip services to visitors to the temple from Suketar.

Similarly, the package flight service to and from Halesi has also started at the cost of Rs 23,000.

The Mountain Air has started flight service from Bhedetar of Dharan to Pathivara. The round-trip airfare for this route is Rs 30,000.
