West Bengal CM Mamata invites PM Modi to Bengal

NEW DELHI: Chief Minister of the Indian state of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi.

Mamata was carrying a kurta and sweets to greet Prime Minister Modi, a day after his 69th birthday.

After the meeting, CM Mamata termed the meeting ‘satisfactory and fruitful’.

She also invited Prime Minister Modi to West Bengal to flag off the coal field project in Burbhum.

CM Mamata said that she urged PM Modi to come and inaugurate the world’s second-largest coal block in West Bengal.

Likewise, she informed that she also raised the issue of renaming West Bengal to Bangla. (Agencies)
