5 people missing after cloudburst in Uttarakhand



UTTARAKHAND: Five persons have gone missing following a cloudburst and heavy rainfall in Mori Tehsil of Uttarakhanda on Sunday, Indian media reports have said.

Uttarakhanda’s Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has instructed the district authorities to carry out rescue and evacuation operations immediately.

The Indian state of Uttarakhanda government has already dispatched teams for rescue operations. The teams, however, are facing issues to reach the spot due to incessant rains.

Several people have been stranded due to the cloudburst in the area. (Agencies)
