Fire in Japan anime studio kills at least 10



TOKYO: At least 10 people have been feared dead and dozens of others injured in arson at an animation studio in Japan’s Kyoto on Thursday, Japanese media reported.

Police have taken into custody man who shouted ‘die!’ as he poured something like gasoline around the studio. He is, however, injured and being treated at a hospital.

White and black smoke billowed out of the windows of the building of Kyoto Animation, reports have said. The studio has been producing several popular series such as “Sound! Euphonium”, among others. (Agencies)
