Term of sub-panel to study medical college fee row extended

KATHMANDU: The term of sub-committee entrusted to carry out a study on issues related to medical colleges has been extended by one month.

The sub-committee was also entrusted to study the dispute over fee structure in various medical colleges.

The Education and Health Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) had on April 9 formed a nine-member sub-committee under the chairpersonship of Suresh Kumar Rai, a committee member to ‘study’ on various medical education issues.

This is the third time that the term has been extended after the sub-committee urged the committee to extend its term for not completing the study yet.

It has so far carried out the study at 20 various government and private medical colleges.
