108-feet tall Vedvyas statue’s DPR unveiled

TANAHUN: The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of a 108-feet tall statue of Vedvyas and a memorial park has been unveiled.

Vedvyas, a saint, is the author of the Vedas, Hindu’s religious text. The statue will be constructed at Shiva Panchyan temple at Damauli of Tanahun.

The Earthquake Safety Solution, which has been entrusted to prepare the master plan of the structures and the statue, unveiled the DPR on Tuesday. According to Deb Kumar Maharjan, Chief Executive Officer of Solution, a total of Rs 628.5 million budget has been estimated for the construction of the park, statue, and other structures.

According to him, a three-story pedestal will be constructed to hold the status. It will take around one-and-a-half-year to construct the pedestal. He informed that the construction would be completed within four years.
