Family launches funding campaign for missing Irish climber

DUBLIN: As the whereabouts of an Irish climber missing in Mount Everest remains unknown, the family of the climber has launched a funding campaign for a search to find him.

Seamus Lawless fell as he descended the peak on Thursday.

A GoFundMe page set up by the family on Friday night with a target of raising 750,000 euro (£660,000) had passed 100,000 euro (£88,000) within 15 hours.
