Elephant tramples woman to death

SIRAHA: Buddha Maya Magar, 70, from Dharmapur Gairitole of Golbazar municipality10, was trampled to death by a wild elephant.

She was encountered with the elephant while returning home after watching television at her neighbor’s home. The elephant probably came from the Chure forest.

The Area Police Office, Golbazar’s Police Inspector Nabin Ghimire said the body has been kept at the Lahan-based Ram Prasad Uma Memorial Hospital for a post-mortem. The animal also destroyed two houses at Muksar of Golbazar-1.
