RAJBIRAJ: An unidentified group carried out a bomb blast in the house of chair of Balan Bihul Municipality Dayananda Goti Friday night. The improvised explosive device (IED) went off at the waiting room in the house premises.
Shyam Goit, the uncle of chief Goit was injured in the blast while all furniture in the waiting room was damaged, according to DSP Bhawesh Rimal. Goit is undergoing treatment at the local hospital.
Meanwhile, an investigation has been launched into the incident while security has been beefed up in the bordering areas, considering the possibility of those involved in the incident escaping to India, said DSP Rimal.
