Bomb goes off in Palpa; pipe bomb found in Baglung



KATHMANDU: A bomb was detonated at the office building of Ribdi Rural Municipality in Palpa district at the wee hours on Thursday. The explosion has partially damaged the office building.  A photo copy machine, computer and window pane have sustained damages, confirmed SP Bishwomani Pokharel of District Police Office, Palpa.

Even though no has claimed the responsibility for the incident, police have suspected hand of Netra Bikram Chand Biplav outfit behind the incident.

Meanwhile, a pipe bomb has been found in Baglung Rural municipality in Baglung. A bomb disposal team has left for the incident site, said police.

Biplav outfit, who went underground after the government banned its activities, had announced to launch protest programs starting today.
