‘Mle Kyu’ to be screened in the Nepali New Year



POKHARA: Mle Kyu, a film in Tamu language  is to be screened in Pokhara in the New Nepali Year 2076. The meaning of the film ‘Mle Kyu’ is Forgetful wWter, directed by Jasu Gurung. It is scheduled to be screen on Baisakh 7.

DB Gurung, Ronit Gurung, Kristi Gurung, Kamal Gurung feature in the lead role of the film. The story of the film is written by Roshan Gurung while Maotse Gurung has written the screenplay with Riya Gurung.

The film makes an effort to highlight various aspects of death rituals of Tamu community, according to director Jasu Gurung.

The film is being screened at Bindabasini Film Hall in Pokhara, with two shows—at 12:00 and 15:00 hrs. The first premier of the film was held in Hong Kong, China on March 3.
