PPL: Chitwan thrashes Pokhara by six wickets



KATHMANDU: Chitwan Rhinos has defeated Pokhara Paltan by six wickets at the Twenty20 cricket match under the Pokhara Premier League (PPL) held at Pokhara Stadium on Tuesday.

Chasing the 108-run target set by Pokhara Paltan, Chitwan reached it in 14.5 overs losing four wickets.

Babar Hayat top-scored with 66 runs including six fours and four sixes off 42 balls, Sunny Patel made 22 runs including one four and two sixes off 18 balls while Rohan Mustafa contributed 11 runs off 14 balls.

In reply, S Ladda and Rashid Khan grabbed two wickets each of Chitwan giving away 48 and 24 runs respectively.

Earlier, invited to bat first after losing toss, Pokhara notched up 107 runs losing all wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Pokhara’s Sharad Vesawkar top-scored with 45 runs including three fours and three runs off 39 balls, Kushal Malla secured 13 runs off 12 balls while Aasif Sheikh contributed 10 runs.

In reply, B Karki, Rohan Mustafa, Sunny Patel grabbed two wickets each of Pokhara.
