17 deep tube wells installed in Bara, Parsa

BARA: The Division Office of Water Resources and Irrigation Development in Parsa has constructed a total of 17 deep tube wells at the cost of Rs 30.5 million.

The newly installed deep tube wells, constructed under the unconditional grant scheme of State No 2 in 11 places in Bara and six in Parsa, have provided irrigation facility in 425 bigaha of land in the districts.

The tube wells have been built at Nichuta, Bagadhi, Pokhariya, Dhobani, and Birgunj sub-metropolitan city-2 in Parsa district and Bishrampur, Phetagaun, Ganja Bhawanipur, Pachrauta, Swarna rural municipality, Telkuwa and Prastoka in Bara district.

One tube well costs Rs 2 million, the Division Office of Water Resources and Irrigation in Parsa informed.
