Trishuli III ‘A’ to be inaugurated on Monday

KATHMANDU: The Upper Trishuli III’A’ hydropower project will be inaugurated on Monday.

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)-developed project took one decade to get completed.

The regular power production from the 60-megawatt capacity project had begun some eight months back. However, the inaugural ceremony is taking place on Monday, according to the NEA.

Prime Minister KP Oli and Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Barshaman Pun, will jointly inaugurate the project.

While Prime Minister Oli will inaugurate it from the ‘Action Room’ based in the Office of the Prime Minister, Minister Pun will be present physically at Simle, the project site based at Kispang rural municipality-5.
