KATHMANDU: Renowned Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar met Prime Minister KP Oli at his official residence in Baluwatar on Sunday afternoon.

After the meet, PM Oli said he was pleased to meet the famous cricketer.

“Pleased to meet Sachin, a famous cricket player, and UNICEF goodwill ambassador today. He appreciated the efforts undertaken by Nepal for the promotion of the rights of the children and their welfare,” PM Oli said in a tweet.


Sachin arrived in Kathmandu to play the friendly cricket match organized to mark the 30th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
