Danish national dies while descending Island Peak in Nepal



SOLUKHUMBU: A  foreigner died while descending Island Peak.

According to the District Police Office, Solukhumbu, the deceased is Danish national Anders Bak Pedersen.

Pedersen fell some 200 meters down and died on the spot while returning after conquering the 6,189-meter peak, DSP Narayan Prasad Chimoriya said.

The dead boy has sent to the Kathmandu-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital through a chopper of Simrik Air for postmortem after conducting the necessary legal procedures.
