Rara Lake attracts high number of tourists

MUGU: Rara Lake in Mugu district situated at an altitude of 2,972 meters from sea level has turned into a hub for a significant number of tourists these days.

The number of tourists coming to this place to enjoy the incredible beauty of the lake has significantly gone up in recent times.

The lake stretched over 10-km in length from Gamgadi, Mugu headquarters, and three-kilometers in breadth with 167 meters depth has been a center of attraction of late.

Locals say that the vehicles of tourists visiting Rara in this season are seen high in number.

The Rara Lake changes its color three times a day. While it is seen blue sometimes, purple and crimson also.

Over 5,000 tourists visited Rara and Sinja since the Dashain festival, according to the police post in Gothijewla.
