Indian Air Force flight tests air-to-air Astra missile

NEW DELHI: Indian Air Force have successfully flight-tested air-to-air missile Astra off the coast of Odisha on Tuesday.

The missile, Astra, was launched from Su-30 MKI as a part of User trials, Indian media reports have said.

Issuing a statement, India’s Ministry of Defense said that the live aerial target was engaged accurately exhibiting the capability of the first indigenous air-to-air missile.

India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has congratulated the Indian Air Force teams for the successful test. (Agencies)
