‘Ranipokhari to be completed by Tihar festival’



KATHMANDU: The reconstruction of Ranipaokhari, which was devastated by mega earthquake of 2015, is set to be completed by  the upcoming fetival Bhai Tika.

The consumers committee of Bhaktapur is working on the reconstruction of historical Ranipokhari which was built by Pratap Malla.

“The reconstruction of Ranipokhari has gained momentum and it will complete by upcoming Hindu festival Tihar,” said Raju Manandhar, an expert of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA).

The reconstruction was hit for three years over the materials to be used for Ranipokhari. A total of Rs 99.7 million has been allocated for reconstruction of the historical pond. Rs 14.2 million has been spent so far.
