‘De De Pyaar De’ starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh has drawn mixed reactions from film critics.
The romantic comedy film written by Luv Ranjan and directed by Akiv Ali in his directorial debut tells a story of a moneyed middle-aged man living in London who falls in love with a girl half of his age. Violent, destructive, and confusing activities begin after he tries to seek approval from his separated wife and estranged family back in India.
The Time of India reviews the film as a film that maturely handles a few touchy topics like divorce, live-ins and age-inappropriate romance, without getting too overbearing.
On the other hand, India Today writes that the movie is a bag full of cliches. The makers have failed miserably to evolve the story beyond a one-line plot.
