Many among those blacklist recruitment companies are Malaysian



KATHMANDU: Many among those manpower recruitment foreign companies that are blacklisted for their irregularities are from Malaysia.

Nepal government has blacklisted many Malaysian companies for breaching the labor agreement signed with the Nepali workers. There have been complaints that they do not provide remuneration and other facilities as per the agreement.

Saudi Arab, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Malaysia are the major labor absorbers of Nepali migrant workers.

According to the latest statistics maintained by the Department of Foreign Employment, a total of 79 percent o foreign manpower recruitment companies blacklisted by Nepal are from Malaysia. The remaining 21 are from Gulf countries.
