Free checkup services to senior citizens



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has begun free checkup services for senior citizens, who have been receiving social security allowances.

The service has begun from KMC ward 15. The senior citizens would get free health checkup services and get 20 percent discount in medicines.

KMC spokesperson, Iswor Man Dangol, stated that the service would be provided to around 1,600 social security allowance recipient senior citizens from ward 15 in the first phase.
