Land Revenue Office Acting Chief dragged to court for graft



KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested Acting Chief and Land Revenue Officer at Land Management and Revenue Office, Siraha Rambabu Mandal red-handed with bribe money.

The anti-graft body said Mandal had received Rs 500,000 kickback from a service seeker.

Mandal was arrested following a complaint that he has been demanding bribe money from the service seeker for providing necessary documents sought by the court in a case sub judice at Janakpur High Court.

A graft case was filed against him on Monday, CIAA said in a press statement.
