MUMBAI: The first look poster ‘Shakuntala Devi’ has been released. The new poster shows Bollywood actress Vidya Balan as Shakuntala Devi — the human-computer – with short hair and a red saree.
The teaser of the film has also been released.
The film directed by Anu Menon is based on the life of Mathematics genius Shakuntala Devi. It is set to release in 2020.
Shakuntala Devi’s genius was discovered when she was just 5 years of age. She had then solved a math problem that was meant for 18-year-old students.
Even though she never received any formal education, Shakuntala’s talent for numbers also gave her a place in the 1982 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.
Also an astrologer, novelist, and a cookbook author, she has traveled to several countries in the world demonstrating her Mathematical skills.
