Two killed as landslides bury their houses in Udayapur

UDAYAPUR: Two people have lost their lives after their houses were buried by landslides in Rautamai Rural Municipality in the district.

The deceased have been identified as Ranamaya Magar, 56, and nine-year-old boy, son of Arjun Tamang of Rautamai Rural Municipality, said District Police Office, Udayapur.

A rescue team of police has been deployed in the incident site, said police. Almost a dozen of houses have been swept away by landslides and floods in Udayapur district.
