Hong Kong demonstrators demand leader step down

HONG KONG: Hundreds of thousands of people dressed in black clogged the streets in Hong Kong on Sunday demanding the city’s leader step down, media reports have said.

Protestors took to streets today as well a day after Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam suspended an extradition bill following violent protests in decades in Hong Kong.

Today, several protesters were seen carrying white carnation flowers, while several others were holding banners that read, “Do not shoot, we are Hong Kongers.”

Protesters formed a sea of black along the streets and train stations across Hong Kong’s financial center demanding Lam’s resignation. “Step down” echoed everywhere. (Agencies)
