17th Int’l Maithali Summit to be held in Biratnagar



BIRATNAGAR: The 17th edition of the International Maithali Summit is set to be organized in Biratnagar from December 22 to 23 with an objective to promote literature, language, culture and food items of Maithali community.

Organizing a press conference in Biratnagar today, the Chairman of Maithali Association Nepal, Prabin Narayan Chaudhary said more than 300 representatives from Nepal, India and Gulf countries will take part in the Summit.

Poets from various communities will recite their poetry during the summit and they will be honored too.

A total of 21 stalls will display the artworks, scientific tools, and technology as well as Maithali cultural items, among others.

According to Association’s advisor Pankaj Barma, the Visit Nepal 2020 related promotional activities will also be held, especially in the religious touristic sites in State -1.
