Madhyapur Thimi municipality honors double gold medalist



THIMI: The Madhyapur Thimi municipality has honored Mandekaji Shrestha, a double gold medalist in the recently concluded 13th South Asian Games (SAG).

Shrestha, a resident of ward no. 4 of the municipality, was honored with a cash prize of Rs. 555,555 and a letter of appreciation.

Shrestha won two gold medals in Karate including in men’s individual Kata Category in the 13th SAG.

The municipality also paraded Shrestha around the municipality for making the city proud in the regional sports extravaganza.
