India ‘B’ beats Nepal by two wickets

KATHMANDU: India ‘B’ defeated Nepal by two wickets in the U-19 Challengers ODI Cricket Tournament in India on Friday.

Chasing down the 211-run target set by Nepal, the hosts achieved the target in 46.3 overs losing eight wickets.

For India, Divyansh Joshi top-scored at 54 runs smashing four sixes and four fours. Likewise, Kritik Krishna Shetty and Harsh Rajesh Hambal made 39 and 29 runs respectively.

Nepal’s Akash Chand and Sagar Dhakal grabbed four and two wickets respectively as Kushal Malla and Sher Malla took one wicket apiece.

Earlier invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal score 210 runs on the board losing all wickets in 49.5 overs. Nepal’s Rit Gautam top-scored at 84 runs as Sher Mall and Hari Bahadur Chauhan contributed 33 and 20 runs respectively.

Divyansh Joshi and Atharva Vinod Ankolekar grabbed three and two wickets respectively.
