The fresh census of rhinos in Nepal, which was earlier planned for this year, is being conducted after five years.

Out of the estimated cost of Rs 15 million, the government has allocated Rs 11 million to the Department while other organizations would contribute the rest, according to Kandel.

He said that around 400 human personnel and some 60 elephants will be mobilized for carrying out the census.
